In our processes - from the product idea, development, production, distribution to disposal - environmental aspects are given very high priority.
Wachendorff Automation itself has only a very low level of vertical integration. We have the components of our devices manufactured according to our specifications and experience, i.e. we do not produce them ourselves.
We take all interested parties into account when dealing with issues such as "purchasing, storage, assembly and delivery".
For decades, we have been pursuing an environmental management system that goes far beyond the scope of DIN EN ISO 9001.
With special programs in our supply chain and in our own organization, we ensure that the environment is protected, involved persons are protected and other interested parties are not harmed. We check and question this in regular audits.

EnDra® technology – Absolute encoders without batteries
Our absolute and maintenance-free encoders operate entirely without a gearbox or backup battery. This guarantees a long service life for the mechanical components and helps protect the environment. In this way, we make an active contribution to conserving resources and ensuring the durability of our products.

When packaging our encoders, we focus on sustainable, plastic-free solutions to reduce our environmental footprint. We place particular emphasis on reducing the overall size of the packaging and using eco-friendly, plastic-free materials.
By optimising the packaging size, we use space more efficiently and reduce unnecessary material consumption – for you, this means environmentally friendly packaging that is also space-saving. Our aim is to protect the environment whilst continuing to guarantee the quality and safety of our products.

In order to offer you even more flexibility and convenience, we will be including the torque support separately with all hollow shaft encoders in future. Many of our customers have confirmed that they often remove the torque arm in order to optimize their individual mounting methods or positions.
With this new solution, we make installation easier for you and adapt even better to your requirements - for an even more efficient and customized application!

Another sustainable environmental initiative
Every new vehicle in our fleet is an environmentally friendly e-car. We are also continuously expanding our parking spaces and equipping them with modern wall boxes so that our e-cars can be charged conveniently and efficiently. In this way, we are sending a clear signal for a greener future – for our company, our customers and the environment!
Generating our own energy through photovoltaics
A key component of our sustainable corporate strategy is the solar panel system installed on the roof of our main building. This environmentally friendly energy source not only supplies our fleet of electric vehicles with clean electricity, but also generates an impressive output of 328 kWp. In purely mathematical terms, this would be enough to power around 82 four-person households every year.
Overall, we want to set a strong example for an environmentally conscious future - for our company and our community!
